Mechanical protective coating for the welded seam areas of synthetic pipes with an additional protective casing (e.g. egeplast SLM / SLA type), in particular for trenchless laying technology and relining.
DENSOLID^® HK7 / HK7-W complements the cut-back PE protective pipe and recreates a uniform, smooth outer pipe surface that offers no weak points for mechanical attack.
DENSOLID^® HK7 / HK7-W are rapid curing, impact resistant, two-component polyurethane-based spatula compounds that create piercing and abrasion resistant, non-brittle coatings.
The compounds are stable when thickly layered and do not drip. Pre-portioned ready to mix sets make application simple, fast and safe.
DENSOLID^® HK7-W is a modification of  DENSOLID HK7 with a faster reaction time. This means that the compound will cure within a short time, independently even when the ambient temperature is low, without the need for external heat sources. Due to the short curing time, the can time compared to HK7 is markedly reduced. DENSOLID^® HK7-W should therefore only be applied if the ambient temperature is less than +15°C.
The coatings will gain additional stability if the polyester reinforcement fabric DENSOLAN^® ES is used. DENSOLAN^® ES is placed in the as yet non-hardened protective coating in one or two layers, depending on the thickness of the protective coat. This guarantees secure protection of the welded seam area even under extreme pipe driving conditions.
