DENSO Primer and Mastic
DENSO Primer & Mastic are butyl caoutchouc based products. A primer is essential for DENSO corrosion prevention systems. DENSO Primer clearly improves adhesion to metallic surfaces. Using the tape system without a primer will not meet industry standard requirements. To make a long story short: DENSO tape systems meet the standards of ÖNORM EN 12068 and ÖNORM B 5250 only in combination with DENSO Primer as basecoat. DENSO Butylmastic on the other hand is used as filling material at surface unevenness, fittings, defect spots and incorrect heighten weld lines.
