TOK®-Bars
A bituminous, fiber-reinforced compound, from which the accurately dimensioned joint seal is manufactured in tape form on site with the TOKOMAT® processing machine and applied directly to the edge. Particularly suited to rough edges, as the warmed and plastic compound is the best for fitting into broken areas. Tested in accordance with TL bit Fug 82 and ZTV Fug-StB 01 (Technische Lieferbedingungen/Prüfvorschriften für Fugenfüllstoffe in Verkehrsflächen, Technical Terms of Delivery/Test Provisions for Joint Filling Materials in Traffic Surfaces)
Uses
TOK®-Bars are used to create joints in asphalt road construction. Joints are formed bonding asphalt layers with different qualities or connecting asphalt layers to other materials, for example concrete or steel installations. The material is applied to the edge prepared according to the data sheet "Merkblatt für Schichtenverbund, Nähte, Anschlüsse und Randausbildung von Verkehrsflächen aus Asphalt" (M SNAR - data sheet for layer bond, seams, joints and edging of asphalt traffic surfaces) using the TOKOMAT®. As it is applied in a warmed and plastic condition, the material bonds in the optimum manner in any breaks that may exist.
Delivery and packaging
TOK®-Bars are supplied as bars 2 kg in weight in delivery quantities of 50 kg in a carton. The delivery quantity per pallet is 8 cartons, corresponding to 400 kg. TOK-Primer SK is supplied in 5 l buckets.
Storage
TOK®-Bars are to be stored without superimposed load and cool in summer.
