DENSOLASTIC® VT
General description
In 2001, DENSOLASTIC® VT was the first joint sealant according to general buildings supervisory requirements that could also be used for asphalt. In 2006, our material received European Technical Approval, which means that it can be used in environmental protection throughout Europe. The joint sealant consists of a two-component material on a polyurethane base. It can be applied cold and is mixed on site in the required quantities. It can be poured into the joint by hand from the container or using special equipment. It is essential that the DENSO® Primer VT primer is used as a component part of this system. The sealant is black in color.
Uses
DENSOLASTIC® VT is used, among other applications, for the sealing of LAU (Anlagen zum Lagern, Abfüllen und Umschlagen wassergefährdender Stoffe) sites where potentially water-polluting materials are handled. Some examples of such sites are filling stations, dangerous goods stores and chemical works. The joint sealant is approved for contact surfaces of concrete, asphalt, semi-rigid road surfacing and steel.
Delivery and packaging
DENSOLASTIC® VT is supplied as components A and B packed in two separate containers. The quantities in the containers represent the prescribed mixing ratio. The material is supplied pairs of containers of 1.65 and 5.00 liters.
DENSO® Primer VT is supplied in pairs of containers with a content of 2 liters for each pair (1.00 liters each of the gray version and the black version). Store tightly sealed in original container at temperatures above 0°C and below 40 °C. The containers must be stored in a well-ventilated place and the material must not penetrate the soil. Under these conditions DENSOLASTIC® VT will keep for at least 9 months and DENSO® Primer VT for at least 6 months.
